Cell phone towers should only be allowed a certain minimum distance from residents. This should be governed by ordinance.
Why? Do you have a cell phone? If so then obviously you are not concerned about it. Your cell phone put out more radiation during one call than standing next to a tower for a month. The reason, as I have explained in other posts is that cell phone tower steer their signals toward the phone connected to them. Quick link posted above, not the best explanation but one I could find quickly.
I guess you see the link by clicking my name… wierd
Mr Ippolito:
I thought that Cortland posting the T-Mobile radio frequency assessment report would speak to that point. . .which if you read it…states that the MPE(Maximum Permissible Exposure) of RF level is less than 1/10 of one percent(.0516 percent). . . more than 1900 times below the FCC limit for safe, continuous exposure of the general public(page 4 of the report)
. . .and your right about the radiation emitted from cellphones, having a much greater impact then what’s emitted from a cell tower. . .
I did indeed read it, which is why I would support it. For selfish reasons of having a better signal but also for cash in the town budget.
