New Jersey’s energy aggregation law, passed in 2003, allows municipalities and other entities to join together, essentially buying energy in bulk and theoretically reducing rates. Participation in the program is now being considered in Point Pleasant. On Tuesday, Boro Council will vote on studying and potentially entering the energy aggregation program.
